Melbourne Tigers Tournament / Mid Season Report - U18 Boys1

The Boys had a great weekend at the Melbourne Tigers Tournament at Dandenong Stadium. We first where put in a tough grade in the Rep A grade comp and we adjusted pretty well. We had some tough games, but the boys did really good in some games and it just shows if they put their heads in the game and work as a team they can beat anyone and really took it up to the Melbourne Tigers Team in their final game. I thought we improved in Defense over the weekend. But we still need to work on rebounding and moving the ball around better in offense. I hope this tournament can spring the boys into some good basketball for our Sunday games as we lead into the second half of the season. Its been tough playing in A grade in our first season of under 18's but i know the boys are up to it and can really take it up to all the teams in the grade. As i'm away for the next 3 weeks i hope the boys really pick up the intensity and work rate and start to playing some great basketball leading into the finals as anything can happen. Keep up the great work boys.

U14B Boys 5 Match Report (Mid Season)

The boys have had a great season to this date and all have played some great basketball. We have had 4 new boys added to the team and they have been great additions to the team. With this being the first season in Under 14's the boys have adapted pretty good and at mid season sit on top of the Ladder in B Grade. It's been a great effort as we are playing against a lot of top age teams. Our Defense has been our number one reason why we are doing so well in this grade. Also we have improved in our passing game on transition. As I'll be away for the next 3 games i'm hoping the boys keep up the great work and keep improving on their game. We have all set goals for the end of the season and by finals time we will be ready to take it to another level. Would like to thank Dave and Gina for helping out with the boys while I'm away.
