U12G1

What a fantastic effort this season. This group of girls are a bottom age team with 3 of them still able to play in the under 10’s competion. They are a very small team but what they lack in height they make up for in endeavour and determination. They are a very hard working team that other teams find very difficult to score against. This season we played in A grade finishing in 3rd position, losing by 3 points in the preliminary final to DSD1.

Unfortunately this season we lose Alisha, who is going up to U14’s. We wish her well with her basketball

These girls are a very enthusiastic group of kids that enjoy their basketball and more importantly each others company. They are an absolute pleasure to coach and im very proud of what they have achieved so far in their short basketball careers.

Keep up the great work Girls

U12B1

This season was a challenge for the boys. It was essentially a new team with 4 new players coming into the team. It took the boys half the season to gell together. They had to contend with not having the same coach week in week out due to game time clashes, having 3 different coaches during the season. To the boys credit they worked extremely hard and managed to the season in the A Res Grand final. For over half the team was their first grand final, unfortunately we couldn’t over the line going down to Rowville by 3 points. I would like to thank the boys for all their hard work. Keep it up and hopefully you can go 1 better this season.

Keep up the great work guys

The Boys had a great season despite the win loss record by the end of the season. They where competitive all season long even with lots of injury interruptions during the season and made it through to their 4th Grand Final in a row.  We came across some really good teams this season with lots of experience and the boys never backed down and competed hard and it showed in their results as the average scoring margin between wins and losses was 6 points. All the Boys improved as individuals as well as a team this season and it showed in the Grand Final in a solid win by 19 Points. Again our Defensive Game was the forefront of our game all season long and it showed we can mix with the top teams in A grade. We would like to thank Lachie on his contributions this season and wish him all the best next season. Also we would like to welcome Brendan to the Side and we all look forward to his contributions this season.

Well done boys on a great season and keep up the good work.

Shane & Jenny
